TOGA left Harajuku — its home since 2007 — closing both stores in one day

In 2007 TOGA opened two storefronts on the ground floor of the Mansion 31 building in Jingumae, Harajuku: the TOGA HARAJUKU store and the vintage clothing shop TOGA XTC. For roughly nineteen years the pair stood as the brand's home base in the district.

Both stores closed on 15 February 2026. The announcement carried no reason — only thanks to customers for their patronage since the 2007 opening. Product inquiries after the closure moved to TOGA AOYAMA, the brand's Minami-Aoyama store.

TOGA itself continues, with the Aoyama store absorbing the Harajuku role. But the label no longer keeps a shop in the district where its retail identity was built for nearly two decades.

Closed both Harajuku stores on 15 February 2026, redirecting customers to Aoyama; the network absorbed the business, so the birthplace lease was dropped.

Two adjacent units in one building ended on the same day: this was Harajuku itself being dropped as a site, not a single underperforming store.

The brand's selling had shifted toward the Aoyama flagship and department-store corners; the Jingumae pair became extra capacity.

The closure redirected customers to Aoyama by name — the network could absorb Harajuku's business, so the brand let the birthplace go.

A brand's home district is a lease like any other. TOGA ran its Harajuku pair for 19 years, then closed both in one day without stating a reason — the remaining network was enough.

TOGA AOYAMA (B1F Mil Roche Building, 5-3-5 Minami-Aoyama) took over product inquiries for the closed stores. The brand continues trading through its other stores and wholesale corners; the Mansion 31 units in Jingumae were handed back.
