What happened
Guangzhoushuoshenghaoyi Keji Youxian Gongsi (TopHomerUS) recalled about 1,040 TopHomer 8-inch pool drain covers on December 18, 2025 — the covers fail the Virginia Graeme Baker Pool and Spa Safety Act's entrapment-protection standards, a risk of entrapment and drowning.
They sold on Amazon for $15 to $26 from August 2024 through October 2025. Owners stop using the pool, remove the cover and email a photo for a refund; no incidents were reported.
A drain cover is a promise that suction ends at the grate — a non-compliant cover makes the pool's pump a trap.
Why it happened
