What happened
Myongsung (VOVA) recalled the BOVA MagSafe Battery 10000mAh (VA-111) in Korea on July 24, 2026 — a battery cell defect can cause the pack to heat during charging or use, and in rare cases to smoke or catch fire, with burns and property damage at stake.
Owners were told to stop using and charging the bank immediately and apply through VOVA's customer centre for an exchange or refund.
A third MagSafe-style bank recalled in two markets within weeks — the clip-on bank's cell is the whole product.
