The fine print, in large print
House Rules
Five of them. They're why this place stays warm when the internet runs cold.
- 01
Only your own mistakes.
First person, always. This is a club for owning up, not a gallery for pointing at strangers. If you weren't the one who screwed up, it's not your story to post.
- 02
Laugh at mistakes, not people.
In the comments, aim every joke at the decision, the physics, the universe — never at the person brave enough to post. Punching down gets you removed faster than a Friday deploy.
- 03
No victims in the punchline.
If your mistake seriously hurt someone else, it isn't content — it's a situation. Handle it off the internet. Posts that turn other people's pain into engagement get taken down.
- 04
True stories only.
Embellish the telling, never the facts. Fiction is welcome only when it's labeled as fiction. The whole value of this place is that these things actually happened.
- 05
Say what you'd do differently.
No lecture required — but the line that starts "next time I'd…" is the one strangers screenshot. It's what turns your worst day into someone else's survival guide.
Every post passes a human curator during the founding era. Report anything that breaks a rule — the club protects its own.
