Marcus Jordan closed Trophy Room after 10 years — the last Jordan collab died with it

Marcus Jordan, Michael Jordan's son, closed his Orlando sneaker boutique Trophy Room in June 2026 after a decade; the final Air Jordan collab was cancelled.

What happened

On June 1, 2026, Marcus Jordan announced he was stepping away from Trophy Room, the Orlando sneaker boutique he founded in 2016, and the physical store closed. The first location ran from 2016 to 2019 at Disney Springs; a downtown Orlando store opened in 2022. Jordan said he would 'pause & step away' to focus on new opportunities 'both professionally and personally.'

Trophy Room built its entire reputation on a close relationship with Jordan Brand, producing a run of sought-after collaborations over ten years — from the Air Jordan 23 in 2016 through the Air Jordan 1 Low 'Home' and 'Away' pack in 2024. The final planned collaboration, an Air Jordan 6 duo slated for Fall 2025, was cancelled and never released; its images were shown only when the closure was announced.

The boutique existed because of one supplier relationship and one famous name. When Marcus Jordan stepped back, there was no independent foundation for the store to stand on. The physical location closed, and the brand will continue as an online-only operation under a different identity; Jordan retains the Trophy Room trademark and intellectual property. The store had also drawn criticism after Complex reported some buyers were allowed to purchase pairs for as much as $1,200.

Why it happened

  • Trophy Room was built almost entirely on a single supplier relationship (Jordan Brand) and a single figurehead (Marcus Jordan); it had no standalone retail identity.
  • The final planned collaboration — an Air Jordan 6 for Fall 2025 — was cancelled, signalling the Jordan relationship was already winding down before the closure.
  • When Marcus Jordan chose to step back, the brick-and-mortar concept had nothing else to sustain it and closed.

The lesson

A boutique that exists because of one supplier and one famous name has no foundation of its own. When Marcus Jordan stepped back, Trophy Room had nothing else to stand on.

Aftermath

The physical Trophy Room store closed. Marcus Jordan retains the trademark and intellectual property; the business continues as an online-only operation under a different brand identity, and he teased a possible eventual return of the brand. The ten-year Trophy Room x Jordan Brand series ended with the 2024 Air Jordan 1 Low; the planned Air Jordan 6 never came.
