What happened
Sungsil, importer of the Rototobebe Tropical Raincoat, recalled the toddler raincoat in Korea on July 23, 2026 — lead in the zipper's metal measured at 251 mg/kg on the pull (2.5 times the 100 mg/kg limit) and 179 mg/kg on the body (1.7 times).
Lead exposure risks dermatitis and central-nervous-system harm in the small wearer; the zipper is the part a child's hands work all day. No accident was reported. Owners stop use and contact the company for repair, exchange or refund.
The raincoat's hardest-working metal is also its most contaminated.
