On October 8, 2026, importer Baituo Innovation Technology, doing business as Romorgniz, recalled about 12,078 Romorgniz six-drawer wooden dressers sold in white and black. The CPSC said the dressers are unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can seriously injure or kill children, and that they violate the mandatory safety standard for clothing storage units required by the STURDY Act.

The dressers were sold online on Amazon from May 2025 through August 2026 for between $100 and $170. They were manufactured by Zhangzhou Jinhao Sen Smart Home Co. Ltd. of China and imported by Baituo Innovation Technology Co. Ltd., also of China, which sells under the Romorgniz brand. No incidents or injuries were reported when the recall was announced.

Consumers were told to stop using any unanchored dresser immediately, move it out of children's reach, mark it with 'RECALLED' in permanent marker, remove the drawers, photograph the disassembled unit and send the photos for a full refund, then dispose of it.

Full refunds for about 12,078 six-drawer dressers sold on Amazon at $100-170 from May 2025 through August 2026.

The dressers are unstable when not anchored to a wall, creating tip-over and entrapment hazards for children.

They violate the mandatory federal safety standard for clothing storage units required under the STURDY Act.

They were sold on Amazon for about 15 months before the recall, reaching roughly 12,000 households.

The importer's remedy is full destruction of the product, indicating the design cannot be fixed in the field.

Tip-over risk is engineered in at the factory: once a dresser fails the stability standard before it ships, a refund-and-dispose recall is the only fix left.

The recall (CPSC recall number 27-020) was announced October 8, 2026 with refunds as the sole remedy. Consumers must mark, disassemble and photograph the dresser before disposing of it. No incidents or injuries had been reported at announcement.
