What happened
Kumon Publishing recalled the Kurukuru Chime toy in Japan on July 30, 2026 — a faulty screw fixing on the body's underside can let the screw (about 10 mm, stainless steel) come away from the body.
A 10 mm steel screw loose inside a toy meant for small children is a choking-sized part on the playroom floor. No incident was reported. The remedy is exchange or refund.
