Beisia's table rolls: an egg the label left out

Korokoro Unmai Table Roll sold at 41 stores across six prefectures missed the egg allergen on its label. Refund or collection from 27 Jul 2026.

Beisia · 2026-07-27

What happened

Beisia recalled its Korokoro Unmai Table Roll bread on July 27, 2026 — the allergen labelling omitted egg. The rolls sold at 41 Beisia stores across Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki, Saitama, Tokyo and Yamanashi.

The remedy is refund and collection. No incident was reported.

A supermarket chain's own bakery bread, labelled by the same hands that baked it — and the egg slipped past both.

Why it happened

  • Egg undeclared on table roll bread — recalled 27 Jul 2026; sold at 41 stores across six prefectures; refund and collection
  • In-store bakery labelling is one chain of hands — the bake and the label share the same blind spot
  • The recall's map is the store network — six prefectures, one chain

The lesson

In-store bakery labels are written where the bread is baked — one kitchen's oversight is a six-prefecture recall. The allergen list is only as careful as the busiest morning shift.
