Workpoint tore up Kan Kantathavorn's contract after the iCon fraud warrants

The iCon Group, founded in June 2018, sold health and beauty products through a direct-selling network and recruited celebrities to front it — Kan Kantathavorn served as marketing director and hosted its events. Turnover passed 10 billion baht in its first five years, half of it in 2021. In October 2024 a television exposé triggered a flood of complaints: more than 2,170 victims, over 841 million baht in claimed damages.

The celebrity fallout began October 10, when Kan was suspended from hosting his Workpoint game show. Min Pechaya terminated her own contracts with the company on October 11, saying she chose to stand with the people. On October 16, the Department of Special Investigation secured arrest warrants for all 18 suspects on fraud and Computer Crime Act charges — and all three celebrities were arrested that day. Bail was denied for everyone.

That evening, Thai Broadcasting Co., the Workpoint subsidiary that managed Kan, announced it was terminating his host-and-artist contract, with a written notice to follow. The warrant, not a conviction, was the trigger: the network cut its star within hours of the police action.
