What happened
Vitaquest International LLC of West Caldwell, New Jersey packed iron-containing dietary supplements for twelve brands — Arey, Bari Life, Bird&Be, Biote, Dr. Fuhrman, NuLife, HMR, Bariatric Pal, Noevir, Zenbean and Sakara — about 356,140 units at $13 to $130, sold April 2023 through February 2026.
Iron must ship in child-resistant packaging under the Poison Prevention Packaging Act; these did not. A young child who swallows the contents can be poisoned — serious injury or death. The CPSC recalled all 356,140 on April 9, 2026; no incidents reported.
The remedy is a free child-resistant replacement cap or storage pouch. Three years of supplements shipped with the one closure the law requires missing.
