What happened
Target recalled about 211,000 Cat & Jack children's sandals — tan with raffia straps, gold buckles and plastic pearls, sizes 5T–12T — on July 16, 2026: the decorative pearls can detach, a choking hazard that can kill.
The sandals sold from January to May 2026 at Target stores and target.com for about $20. There were 23 reports of pearls falling off; no injuries. Owners stop use and return them to any Target or by prepaid mail for a full refund.
