What happened
AC Newco, owner of Medik8, voluntarily recalled its Physical Sunscreen SPF50+ line — the 60mL retail and professional tubes and the 15mL Try Me size, batches A1798A/B and A2651/A/B — after independent testing indicated protection below the labelled SPF50+.
The formula is safe but under-protective: higher sunburn risk and weaker long-term skin-cancer prevention for buyers who paid up to $106 a tube. The products sold in Australia and New Zealand from August 2023 to March 2026; the TGA issued a statement and return instructions.
Owners stop use and claim a full refund with photo evidence or proof of purchase — three summers of label trust, tested late.
