What happened
Justin Tucker was the most accurate kicker in NFL history: a seven-time Pro Bowler who had spent 13 seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, and in 2022 the team made him the highest-paid kicker in league history on a four-year, $22 million extension. In late January 2025, The Baltimore Banner reported that 16 massage therapists from eight Baltimore-area high-end spas had accused him of sexual misconduct during sessions, allegations Tucker called "unequivocally false."
The Ravens acted first. On May 5, 2025, they released Tucker with three years remaining on the $22 million extension, parting with the most accurate kicker in league history during the NFL's investigation. The team said the decision was football-related, but it came the same offseason the allegations were public.
On June 26, 2025, the NFL announced it had found that Tucker violated its personal conduct policy and suspended him for the first 10 weeks of the 2025 regular season, beginning August 26, with reinstatement possible November 11. Tucker's agent said the kicker accepted the resolution to "close this matter" while maintaining his denial. One accuser told the Banner the 10-week ban was "the bare minimum."
