Hulu scrapped Diddy's family reality series after the assault lawsuits
Four assault suits in a month killed the Fulwell 73-produced family show Hulu was developing with Combs.

What happened
In late 2023 Hulu was developing a reality series following Sean 'Diddy' Combs and his family, produced by Fulwell 73, the company behind The Late Late Show with James Corden. The show was still in its early stages when the lawsuits arrived.
Singer Cassie sued Combs on 16 November 2023 and the case settled within a week. Then three more women filed under New York's Adult Survivors Act. In mid-December Hulu scrapped the project.
Hulu declined to comment on the decision. For the platform the loss was a development slate written off before cameras rolled; for Combs it was the first entertainment deal to fall after the lawsuits, with more to come.
Why it happened
- A family-reality format starring Combs could not survive the moment his name became a liability: the show's entire premise was his public image.
- The suits multiplied within a month of each other, so the risk picture worsened every week and left Hulu no credible moment to wait out.
- Disney's Hulu is a mainstream, family-friendly brand; keeping the show would have meant defending the association in every story about the allegations.
The lesson
A project built on a celebrity's image dies when the image does: four lawsuits, no verdicts, and Hulu walked away. The person is the asset, so the person is the risk.
