United Arrows ends ASTRAET, its own 12-year brand, with the 2026 spring collection

Launched in 2014 as a specialty shop for fashion-forward adults, ASTRAET lost its last standalone store in January 2025 and ends with the 2026 spring season.

What happened

United Arrows launched ASTRAET with the 2014 spring/summer season — its own specialty brand for fashion-conscious adults, mixing original items with imported labels to put a quiet mode sensibility into daily life.

The brand contracted before it ended. Its only standalone store, at NEWoMan Shinjuku, closed in January 2025, leaving ASTRAET as a presence inside select UNITED ARROWS stores, the BEAUTY & YOUTH Nishinomiya shop and its own online store.

On 17 June 2026 the announcement came: ASTRAET ends with the 2026 spring/summer collection, twelve years after launch. Sales through UNITED ARROWS stores and online stop after the season. The brand's farewell message carried no reason — only thanks to customers who had walked the path with it.

Why it happened

  • The shrink was visible before the end: standalone store gone by January 2025, the brand down to corners inside the parent's own floors.
  • A house label that survives only inside its owner's stores has already lost its standalone economics.
  • No reason was given — but ending with a season is a portfolio decision, not a collapse.

The lesson

Even the house's own label wasn't safe: United Arrows ran ASTRAET for twelve years, watched it shrink from a standalone store to shop corners, then ended it with the 2026 spring season.

Aftermath

ASTRAET sales through UNITED ARROWS stores and online end after the 2026 spring/summer season; no revival was announced. The brand's channels close out the season with the collection that bears its name for the last time.
