怎么回事
Ukrop's Homestyle Foods — the Virginia ready-meal maker — produced baked spaghetti and chicken cobbler between July 1 and July 29, 2026, and shipped them to retail in North Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia, to the Department of Defense, and online.
A consumer found a metal piece in a fully cooked product. On July 31, 2026, the USDA's FSIS recalled about 22,880 pounds of the baked spaghetti and chicken cobbler products for possible foreign material contamination — metal slivers.
No confirmed injuries. The remedy is the oldest one in food: throw it away or return it to the place of purchase. A month of production left the shelf in a day.
为什么会这样
- Metal slivers in fully cooked ready meals — one consumer complaint about a metal piece triggered the recall of 22,880 pounds
- Production Jul 1–29, 2026 shipped to three states' retail, the Department of Defense and online — a month of output recalled on Jul 31
- No injuries confirmed — the cost is the recall itself: every case in distribution, and the DoD shelf, emptied for one sliver
教训
Foreign-material recalls are paid for by the case: one sliver a customer found empties 22,880 pounds from three states and a military shelf. The complaint is the cheapest sensor.
