怎么回事

Boticelli Foods recalled the Bettergoods Pistachio Nut Butter 6.7 oz — Walmart's private label, lot LB028ACP04 — on August 4, 2026 after three jars tested positive for Salmonella at a Florida retail store; the FDA had notified Walmart of the result on July 17.

The jars sold across 19 states from Alabama to Wyoming. No illness was reported; the risk is of serious infection in the vulnerable. Owners stop eating it and return it to Walmart for a full refund.

A private label's routine test became the retailer's recall — the brand on the jar is the store's.

为什么会这样

  • 19 states' shelves carry the private label — the recall's address is Walmart's own aisle
  • Seventeen days between the FDA notice and the public recall — the gap is the decision

教训

A private label borrows the retailer's trust and the maker's line — when a jar tests positive, the store's name is on the hazard. Seventeen days of shelf between notice and recall is the bill.
