What happened
Merkury Innovations recalled about 18,000 Hot + Cool Heating and Cooling fans (model MI-DHC02) on June 11, 2026 — the fan can overheat and catch fire when connected to power. Two reports of fire, one with smoke damage to property; no injuries.
The fans sold for about $30 at TJ Maxx, Marshalls and Sierra stores nationwide from October 2024 through October 2025. The refund requires marking the fan RECALLED, cutting the cord and submitting a photo.
