Mangohood's kitchen tower: a stool a toddler can tip — or fit through

Collapses, tips, and a child's torso fits the openings — entrapment and fall risk. 105 towers on Amazon Jul 2025–Mar 2026; free stabilizing-feet repair kit.

What happened

Hangzhou Xinyanchuangxin Tech., doing business as Mangohood Direct, recalled its Kids Kitchen Standing Tower (LT003) on July 30, 2026 — 105 units sold on Amazon.com between July 2025 and March 2026 for $57 to $67.

The tower can collapse or tip over while a child stands in it, and a child's torso fits through openings on the front and back — entrapment, fall and tip-over hazards carrying the risk of serious injury or death. No incidents were reported.

The remedy is a free repair kit — stabilizing feet and installation instructions — mailed to owners who stop using the tower now.

Why it happened

  • Tower can collapse or tip in use, and a child's torso fits the front and back openings — entrapment and fall hazard; recalled Jul 30, 2026
  • 105 units on Amazon in eight months, Jul 2025–Mar 2026 — a small run whose openings never met the child who uses it
  • The fix ships as feet and a manual — the geometry that admits a torso stays, stabilized at the base

The lesson

A standing tower holds the one user who cannot test it — a child. The openings that admit a torso are the design, and the repair kit only widens the stance.
