Little Grape Land's nursing pillow: a feeding cushion that can suffocate

It violates the nursing pillow standard; the padding can obstruct an infant's breathing. 1,430 recalled; refund after cutting it in half.

What happened

XJ Evermore LLC, dba Little Grape Land US, of Frisco, Texas sold about 1,430 U-shaped nursing pillows at $28 to $30 from August 2025 through April 2026, in eleven patterns from rose floral to woodland animal.

Advertised for infant feeding and tummy time, the pillows violate the mandatory safety standards for nursing pillows and infant support cushions: the padding can obstruct an infant's breathing. The CPSC recalled them on June 4, 2026; no incidents reported.

The remedy is a refund after the owner cuts the pillow in half and emails a photo of the destroyed pillow. The feeding cushion joins the banned list it was born after.

Why it happened

  • The pillow can obstruct an infant's breathing — violates the mandatory standards for nursing pillows and infant support cushions; recalled Jun 4, 2026
  • 1,430 pillows at $28–30 sold Aug 2025–Apr 2026 — nine months of feeding and tummy time on a banned shape
  • The refund needs the pillow cut in half and photographed — the destruction photo is the compliance certificate

The lesson

The nursing pillow standard was written for exactly this shape — a U of padding at an infant's face. Selling one after the standard landed is not a design miss; it is a missed memo.
