Easymake's bed rail: entrapment hazard, no warning labels, 19,000 recalled
Users can be trapped in the rail or against the mattress; it violates the adult bed rail standard. 19,000 recalled; refund after a RECALLED-marker photo.

What happened
Shenzhen Zhongfenzhigu Technology, dba ZFZG-US, imported about 19,000 Easymake adult portable bed rails at about $55, made by Zhongshan Yungu Daily Products, sold August 2023 through February 2026.
Users can become entrapped within the rail or between the rail and the mattress — asphyxiation — and the rails lack the required hazard warning labels; they violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails. The CPSC recalled them on April 9, 2026; no incidents reported.
The remedy is a refund after the owner cuts the storage bag and safety strap in half, writes Recalled on the frame in marker, and uploads the photo.
Why it happened
- Entrapment within the rail or against the mattress — asphyxiation; no hazard warning labels; violates the adult portable bed rail standard; recalled Apr 9, 2026
- 19,000 rails at $55 sold Aug 2023–Feb 2026 — made in Zhongshan, imported by a Shenzhen firm, recalled in the US
- The refund needs the bag and strap cut in half and Recalled written on the frame — the marker photo travels to a Shopify upload form
The lesson
The adult bed rail standard and its warning labels exist because entrapped elders died — a rail that skips both repeats the old story at $55.
