Arizer's Solo III: the $300 vaporizer whose battery can explode

Four batteries exploded or ignited. 5,000 units recalled at $300; the remedy is a V2 replacement after you marker the old one 'recalled' and photograph it.

What happened

Arizer Tech — 7111495 Canada Inc., of Waterloo, Ontario — sold the Solo III portable vaporizer at about $300 through specialty, health-and-wellness and adult-novelty stores and arizer.com from May 2025 to January 2026, about 5,000 units in the Intergalactic/Black finish, manufactured in China.

The internal lithium-ion battery can explode or ignite. Four units did — four reports of the battery exploding or catching fire, no injuries reported. On June 18, 2026, the CPSC recalled the affected serial ranges (M3B1G5, M3F4G6, M35C43, M3PN54, M3SR42, M38G53, M3G576, M3C121); Health Canada published the same recall.

The remedy: write 'recalled' on the device in permanent marker, photograph it, dispose of it at a household hazardous waste center — not the trash, not a retail battery bin — and only then receive the replacement Solo III V2.
