怎么回事
横滨 Dreamland 1964 年 8 月 1 日在横滨户冢开业,由日本 Dream 观光开发运营,是一座童话式主题乐园:有城堡、一座罗马斗兽场造型的酒店,还有——自 1966 年 5 月起——一条通往大船站的自家单轨铁路。1970 年代到 1980 年代初,入园人数巅峰约每年 160 万。
单轨铁路只活了十六个月:设计缺陷让它在 1967 年 9 月停运,责任归属的官司旷日持久,线路在风雨里锈蚀。失去轨道交通后,游客只能靠巴士和汽车涌入一号公路的常年拥堵;1983 年东京迪士尼乐园开业后,入园人数跌到巅峰期的约一半。
到 2002 年,母公司大荣自身深陷危机,债权银行下了最后通牒:年内处置掉乐园约 100 亿日元的债务,否则不再提供融资。集团判断,把乐园作为持续经营企业卖掉,不如直接卖地值钱,于是在运营 37 年半之后,于 2002 年 2 月 17 日关闭横滨 Dreamland。
为什么会这样
- 单轨铁路 1967 年停运后再也没回来——乐园的轨道生命线在它最后的 35 年里一直缺席。
- 东京迪士尼乐园 1983 年开业,加上少子化,把入园人数从 160 万的峰值砍掉一半。
- 大荣的债权人要求 2002 年内清掉 100 亿日元债务,而空地的价值高过一座老去的乐园。

教训

地块经横滨市转给 Tsuzuki First Gakuen;横滨药科大学 2006 年在此开学,图书馆设在旧 Hotel Empire 大楼里。单轨铁路自 2003 年起拆除。
