Tiny Land play tents: fiberglass poles shedding inside a child's hideout

Fiberglass poles shed fibers that irritate skin and eyes — 7,500 tents sold on Amazon. Recalled Jun 2026 with a free replacement-pole kit.

Tiny Land · 2026-06-04

怎么回事

Tiny Land recalled about 7,500 children's play tents (SKU TLTGTT003BG-XYF1506251) on June 4, 2026 — the fiberglass poles shed fibers that risk skin and eye irritation, with eight reports of shedding. The tents sold for $54 to $70 on Amazon.com and Tinylandus.com from November 2025 through March 2026.

The remedy is a free repair kit with replacement poles; owners stop use, disassemble the tent, keep the poles away from children and handle them with gloves.

A hideout built for children lined with the one fiber that turns touch and blinking into irritation.

为什么会这样

  • Fiberglass poles shed irritating fibers — 8 reports; 7,500 tents at $54-70; recalled Jun 4, 2026; free replacement-pole kit
  • Fiberglass is cheap, stiff and invisible — the three properties a child's play space should never host at once
  • The remedy ships new poles, not a patch — the frame was the defect, not a batch of it
代价7,500 tents re-poled by mail代价高昂

教训

Material choice is the first safety decision a product makes. The pole that sheds fiberglass inside a play tent was chosen for stiffness and price — the recall is the bill for skipping the jacket.
