Xing Yu International ran Arc'teryx and Salomon's Taiwan stores. Both contracts ended the same day as parent Anta Sports moved toward direct operation.

怎么回事
Xing Yu International (星裕國際) operated Taiwan's Arc'teryx and Salomon stores — six Arc'teryx locations and four Salomon locations across Taipei, Taoyuan and Taichung, including flagship and outlet sites. Both brands sit under the Amer Sports group, majority-owned by an Anta Sports-led consortium since 2019.
The distributor agreement for both brands ended on 28 February 2026. From 1 April, all ten stores ran clearance sales — Arc'teryx up to 60% off with waterproof jackets at 50%, Salomon up to 45% off — while a successor operator prepared to take over direct retail in Taiwan.
Losing two brands from the same parent group on the same date left the distributor liquidating its entire outdoor-retail business at once rather than losing one line and rebuilding around the other. Dr. Martens' Taiwan distributor, SHOEX, ended a separate 36-year agreement the same spring — Taiwan's outdoor and footwear distributors losing long-standing brand contracts within weeks of each other as global groups moved toward operating their own markets directly.
为什么会这样
- a parent group that owns multiple brands can end several distributor contracts on the same date, concentrating the loss instead of spreading it across separate negotiations
- as Amer Sports scaled under Anta-led ownership, direct control of a growing market outweighed the value of a long-standing local operator's relationships
- the distributor's entire outdoor-retail business rested on two contracts from one group, so one ownership-level decision emptied both categories at once
教训
A distributor built on several brands from one parent group is really one relationship wearing different labels — the parent can pull every brand under it on the same date.
后来呢
All ten Arc'teryx and Salomon stores ran clearance sales from April 2026, with a successor expected to resume direct retail. Local coverage grouped the exit with Dr. Martens' distributor SHOEX ending its own 36-year Taiwan agreement the same season.
