Aftermath

Poirier was arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport on June 21, 2026, and booked into Clayton County Jail on a public intoxication charge before being released on bond; his first court appearance was June 22. On July 21 he told Yahoo Sports that Bud Light had terminated his contract immediately after the arrest, with "a few hundred thousand dollars" remaining, and that his family lost that money. The Bud Light commercial he had filmed with UFC announcer Bruce Buffer was re-edited to remove him from broadcasts. Anheuser-Busch issued no public statement.
