What happened
Snackbrands Australia recalled Chickadees — the 6x19g multipack and the 190g, 90g and 45g packs — on July 12, 2026 after rubber contamination was found; the recall, listed by Food Standards Australia New Zealand, covers batches with best-before dates of 1, 8, 12 and 15 August 2026 and 12 December 2026.
Eating the contaminated snack may cause illness or injury. It sold nationally through Woolworths, Coles, IGA, independent grocers and convenience stores; owners return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.
