怎么回事
T in the Park launched in 1994, created by Stuart Clumpas and Geoff Ellis as a joint venture between DF Concerts and Tennent's Lager, and grew into Scotland's flagship music festival — up to 255,000 people over three days at the Balado airfield site, with headliners from Radiohead to the Stone Roses. Ellis called it 'really the third major festival in the UK.'
The ground gave out first: Balado had to be abandoned over safety concerns about the Forties Pipeline running beneath the site, and the festival moved to Strathallan Castle in 2015. The new venue brought planning disputes, traffic chaos and two troubled editions the brand could not recover from.
The 2017 edition was cancelled and never replaced; DF Concerts put its effort into the new TRNSMT festival in Glasgow instead. In July 2019 Ellis confirmed the end: 'It was an amazing festival, but it ran its course.'
